A sanctuary for tired souls and curious hearts

  • Rested Therapeutics doesn’t ask you to do more. Instead you’re invited to breathe freely, listen compassionately, and re-connect with your innate wholeness - even within complexity.

    For many of us women, daily life is spent in constant “go mode” with little time to restore our resources. Rested Therapeutics offers an intentional space to slow down, care for your nervous system, and reconnect with the body in a supportive and gentle way. We believe imbalance can hold wisdom and serve as a way to pause, reflect and attune to our minds, body’s and hearts. When we attune, and honour our unique biological, psychological, and spiritual needs, we can therefore build a greater capacity for the fullness life.

    Each service & practice is therefore shaped to be one of inquiry, gentleness, and a pathway back to balance.

  • Trauma-Informed Guidance

    As a trauma-informed facilitator, Kayla guides and facilitates each offering with humility, sensitivity, and care. Every person experiences rest, bodywork and stillness differently, which is why sessions are offered in a unique, slow, titrated, and trauma-sensitive way.

    You are always encouraged to move at your own pace, with a strong emphasis on choice, autonomy, and self-awareness.

    A Foundation of Safety

    Feeling safe within your own experience is one of the most important elements of rest becoming truly restorative and therapeutic. Because of this, creating a sense of safety, trust, and nervous system support is at the heart of every session I offer.

    My intention is to provide a space where your body can gradually soften out of survival mode and return to its natural capacity for rest, repair, and restoration.

  • I am passionate in supporting women who are “human givers” that are big hearted caring souls that usually work in professions that require them to give a lot, and gain very little. Or who are mothers that give their all into parenting - yet feel exhausted, burnout, and overwhelmed.

    If you are a woman who cares deeply for the world and it’s people, but struggles to give back to yourself in a way that refills and sustains you, hi! It’s so lovely to have you here. And I hope we can work together in some way.

This 1:1 service is designed to support your body and mind to enter into deep states of restoration, improve stress resilience, and build internal capacity. Includes specific bodywork on the face, neck, and abdomen (nervous system hots spots) helping you to improve nervous system balance & function, elicit calm and safety, and remove physical barriers to breath, rest, healing, and vitality.

Adhesions from birth scarring can alter the functioning of the abdomen which directly affects nervous system function, breathing dynamics, and posture.   • Kia Ora! I’m Kayla - the name and face behind Rested Therapeutics. I’m a mother to two fierce and energetic boys (yes my nervous system needs a lot of help) and a wife to the best husband in the world (I’m a little bias!).

    Therapeutic Rest is a modality I’m extremely passionate about as it combines all my passions, experience, and expertise into an offering designed for tired souls, and curious hearts. My facilitation style is relaxed, humble, and led with humility. I believe we are all just humans trying to figure out this over-stimulated and stressful world and everyone needs a bit of help to navigate the turmoil. I believe NeuroSomatic Rest not only supports us to widen our window of tolerance for the inherent challenges we all face at some point, but also restores our capacity for joy and vitality that we deserve simply because we are alive.

  • I hold a Bacahelors degree is Sport Science and Human Performance, Certified Massage Therapist, 200 Hour Yoga Certified, and have completed trainings in both Somatic Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga (60 HR), and my latest Advanced Training in Trauma, Mental Health, and Body Image (50 HR). I am an absolute nerd when it comes to the neuroscience of somatic and rest. When i’m not walking, or reading a good book - you’ll find me researching or learning all things nervous system, neuroscience, physiology, mental health & embodied wisdom.

    However, my greatest education is that in which I have received in practice, and witnessing the profound impact that conscious rest and embodied awareness can have on mind, body, and soul in those I have had the privilege to guide and hold space for.
